Video: Truckers boycott NYC after court rules against Trump

Following New York Judge Arthur Engoron’s decision to fine former President Donald Trump over $350 million in a civil fraud case last Friday, truck drivers have started a boycott of New York City in support of the former president.

According to Fox News, truck drivers from across the country have already announced that they will not transport goods to New York City due to the $350 million ruling against Trump last Friday.

The New York case was brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James and was brought against the former president, the Trump Organization, and Trump’s family. James accused Trump of inflating his business assets and committing business fraud.

In a post on social media, one Trump-supporting trucker, known as “Chicago Ray,” said, “I’m just one of the many millions of Truckers who believe in God and love this Country. I stand with Trump bc Trump stands with me. Truckers for Trump ain’t just a slogan, it’s real.”

After Friday’s ruling, Ray released a statement on X, formerly Twitter, encouraging his fellow truckers to boycott transporting goods to New York City. While the post has since been removed from social media, Fox News obtained Ray’s statement after it was initially posted.

“I’ve been on the radio talking to drivers for about the past hour, and I’ve talked to about 10 drivers,” Ray stated. “I don’t know how far across the country this is or how many truckers are going to start denying loads going to New York City, but I’ll tell you what — you f-ck around and find out.”

The Trump-supporting truck driver warned that New York City needs to leave the former president alone and suggested that the case brought against Trump in New York City was “election interference.”

Since Friday’s ruling, Ray has been joined by many other truckers in calling for a trucking boycott of New York City. Collin Rugg, co-owner of Trending Politics, shared a video Monday of a News Nation interview with a female truck driver who threatened that if just 10% of truckers boycott New York City, the city could see significant consequences.

“It could shut New York City down,” the female truck driver said. “If New York loses just 10 percent of the trucks going there, their prices are going to skyrocket on everything, from milk to eggs to any type of goods that the consumer needs. When that happens, it’s going to cost everyone more money.”
