Two junior prosecutors are no longer working for Special Counsel Robert Mueller, special prosecutor who is attempting to smera President Trump enough to force a case for impeachment.
A spokesperson confirmed the departure of Ryan Dickey and Brian Richardson on Friday. Friday is generally the day for news announcements to occur from Washington as they hope to avoid too much scrutiny by the media.
Despite widespread allegations of bias against the president within the Mueller team, the lawyers reportedly did not leave due to any wrongdoing or bias. Both lawyers worked on cases as part of Mueller’s Russia investigation. This comes after FBI agent Peter Strzok was ousted from the Mueller team, after the revelation of his anti-Trump text messages.
Dickey will continue to work at the Justice Department, while it’s unclear where Richardson will work but he recently became a research fellow at Columbia Law School.
