Trump’s Response After A Woman Asks If She Can Pray For Him Says It All

Former President Donald Trump started off his campaign for the Oval Office in 2024 with visits to New Hampshire and South Carolina. On Saturday in South Carolina Trump thrilled conservatives with campaign promises about taking the United States back in a conservative direction, especially regarding the border, illegal immigration, and energy issues. Conservative South Carolina is sure to be cheering over Trump’s policies in regard to those matters.

During his event in Columbia, the capital of South Carolina, Trump said, “Every day is like April Fool’s Day” under President Joe Biden, according to Newsmax. “They want to defund our police. It’s not even believable,” Trump said, resurfacing the Democrats’ rally cry in the riot-filled 2020 presidential campaign that has led to a massive crime wave since. “Every day in America has become April Fool’s Day,” Trump reiterated, going on to blast Hunter and Joe Biden for having classified documents allegedly stored in the garage of a home they shared in Wilmington, Del., even as allegations of the “laptop from hell” swirled.

He also riffed on Biden for unwinding U.S. energy independence achieved during his first term, as well as the “greatest economy in the history of America.” Trump has stated that he will be the only candidate in 2024 who will be able to say, regarding fixing the issues that plague America, “I already did that”.

“And I will do it again, and it won’t even be difficult,” Trump noted during the South Carolina event.

Not only charming the crowds at the event, but the former President also dropped by an eatery in South Carolina on Saturday ahead of the event, and an interaction between him and a female staffer immediately went viral on social media. In a video clip posted online, Trump is seen approaching the counter to order when the woman asks him if she can pray for him, Conservative Brief reports.

“Yes, go ahead, go ahead and do that,” the former president said, taking her hand in his right hand and placing his left hand on her shoulder.

The internet lit up with conservative voices happy to see the former president and presidential candidate engage in prayer.

“That’s so awesome! That’s what we need, someone to pray over us someone to tell us that things will get better if we put our trust and faith in God! Bless this young woman for praying for our President,” one user responded.

“Beautiful,” another user wrote.

“One reason why America was and will always be good. Without a secure moral basis we are at great risk of being manipulated by powerful forces out for themselves. So that’s their first target,” wrote another user.

“South Carolina is now my favorite state!” said another.

“God’s blessings pursue this ice cream worker for she is an Ambassador for Jesus Christ!! She is in my prayers! Placing Psalm 91 over our President Trump & his family in Jesus Name Amen,” another remarked.

“God Bless this women [sic] and our FOREVER Favorite & Beloved President!!!!!” added another.

Before the event in South Carolina, Trump made a visit to New Hampshire, and while not captured on video in prayer, he made a vow about the upcoming election.

According to CNN, Trump said he is “more committed” to winning back the White House than ever, adding:

Appearing in New Hampshire before a second stop in South Carolina, Trump said he was “more angry” about the direction of the country and vowed to return to the first-in-the-nation primary state “many, many more times” as he looks to replicate his first-place finish in the Granite State in 2016.

“This is it,” Trump told members of the New Hampshire GOP at their annual meeting in Salem. “We’re starting right here as a candidate for president.”

Newsmax noted further:

If elected in 2024, Trump vowed on the open border under Biden that he will impose criminal penalties on future presidents if illegal immigration were to go unchecked like it has since he left office January 2021.

There still has not been a running mate announced for Trump in 2024, and there have been two South Carolinians on the shortlist. Senator Tim Scott and former Governor Nikki Haley have been speculated to be on the list. But Trump’s visit to South Carolina has prompted Haley to speak up.

On the way to South Carolina, Trump told reporters aboard his plane that Nikki Haley – the state’s former governor who served as his ambassador to the United Nations – called him in recent days to inform him that she is considering launching a 2024 presidential bid. “I talked to her for a little while, I said, ‘Look, you know, go by your heart if you want to run,’” Trump said. “She’s publicly said that ‘I would never run against my president, he was a great president.’” CNN noted that Trump also told Haley she “should do it.”

CNN noted further that in 2021, Haley said she would not challenge Trump if he ran in 2024, so it’s not clear what has changed.
