Pardons for the American men and women who were arrested by Joe Biden’s FBI over MAGA activism on Jan. 6th, 2021, at the US Capitol, are on the mind of President Donald J. Trump, and he is talking about it this week.
“There are hundreds of people who have been dragged thru Hell and who are still sitting in DC’s Gitmo,” Wendy Bell said to Trump on her radio program on Thursday, opening up the topic.
The opponents of the America First movement have used the arrests of American men and women who participated in the rallies on that day as a political weapon since Trump left DC. Reports of the inhumane treatments and denial of civil rights are by the hundreds about the people who have been detained and dragged through the DC courts for ‘insurrection.’
More than 840 people have been arrested for ‘storming the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, with charges ranging from obstruction of an official proceeding to assault. But 17 months after, a significant number of participants are still awaiting their sentencing.
“A quarter of those arrested—185 individuals—have received criminal sentences, while the rest are waiting for their trials or haven’t yet reached plea agreements.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, 80 defendants were sentenced to periods of incarceration. So far, the median prison sentence for the Jan. 6 rioters is 45 days.
An additional 57 rioters have been sentenced to periods of home detention, while most sentences have included fines, community service, and probation for low-level offenses like illegally parading or demonstrating in the Capitol, which is a misdemeanor,” Time reported.
“I am looking at this very carefully and I have been studying cases. We need to make contributions to help them,” Trump told Bell. “We will be looking at pardons with an apology.”
Trump’s announcement will likely unsettle his opponents because they have delighted in the criminalization and incarceration of Trump’s supporters over the past year and a half, and they have enjoyed the media attacks on these people and their families.
Trump made an appearance on Bell’s radio show on Newsmax, and the two spoke at length regarding the corruption of the FBI and law enforcement when dealing with the Jan. 6 protesters.
“How do we right this wrong? What can you do?” Bell asked to begin the topic discussion.
“So I met with them a number of times, but I met with, and I’m financially supporting people that are incredible, and they were in my office actually two days ago. So that’s very much on my mind. It’s a disgrace what they’ve done to them, what they’ve done to these people. It’s disgraceful,” Trump said.
“And mostly, I mean, you know, it’s firemen. They’re policemen. They’re people in the military. They’re people that were, you know, you look at what took place with the police, where they’re ushering them in and so many different things,” he said.
“And we’re working on it very hard. We’re working with legals, you know, this radical left system. These people are sick. There’s something wrong with them. Nobody’s ever seen anything like this and they don’t mind and they’re cold,” Trump explained.

“You know, they were telling me that some of these, some of the legal people on the other side, they’re the most cold-hearted people. They don’t care about families. They don’t care about anything. And you see what they’re doing with the sentencing. And I will tell you and I’m looking at it very carefully, I’ve studied it. I study cases and contributions should be made,” he advised.
“We have to do that because, you know, they have some good lawyers,” Trump continued, railing against a Department of Justice and intelligence agencies that are becoming increasingly less trustworthy as American institutions with each passing day.
“You get this, you get some of these judges that that are so as so nasty and so angry, mean the sentences. And I will tell you, I will look very, very favorably about full pardons if I decide to run. And if I win, I will be looking very, very strongly about pardons. Full pardons,” he said.
“I think that’s probably going to be the best because even if they go for two months or six months and, you know, they have sentences that go a lot longer than that, but we’ll be looking very, very seriously at full pardons because we can’t let that happen. What’s happened here, and I mean full pardons with an apology to many,” Trump concluded.
“What do you think they [FBI] were looking for? Bell asked.
“I think they were looking for everything but what they said,” Trump opined, adding they must have been looking for Hillary Clinton emails and material related to the Russian collusion hoax, which Trump and the nation writ large have had to suffer through at the hands of corrupt Democrats, their allies in mainstream media and the permanent bureaucracies hell-bent on destroying Trump and the will of conservative voters in America.
