Trump teams with Jan. 6 prisoners to release charity single ‘Justice for All’

Just in time for the US House Republicans to open their investigation into reports of “inhumane” conditions at the Washington, D.C. Jail, that is holding alleged participants in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol ‘riots’, President Donald J. Trump has shown his solidarity with the people and helped raise awareness of their struggles, by releasing a patriotic song of the detainees.

And it is all long overdue.

The House Republicans targeted Muriel Bowser almost two years ago over the conditions of her jails and the terrible treatment of the political prisoners she was holding there.

And they are pressuring her again this week.

“In a letter to District Mayor Muriel Bowser, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee cited reports and eyewitness accounts of the “despair, hopelessness and severe abuse of justice” at the facility,” the Washington Examiner reported on Friday.

“No prisoner in the United States should be treated in this fashion,” said the letter signed by Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Clay Higgins (R-La.).

The five-page letter makes several demands for documents and other information, which Boswers has been ignoring for years.

The US House sent Bowser a letter in 2021 which she refused to answer. The House Republicans, then in the minority, sent a follow-up months later which she also refused to answer about the horrible conditions of the DC prisons.

The inhumane conditions in which the supporters of Trump are being held has been dubbed the “American Gulag” which is a play on words from the famous Russian novel.

The Gulag Archipelago, 1918-1956 by Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn describes in detail the physical and psychological horrors inflicted on millions of political prisoners in the Soviet era. Soviet State Security prefers to arrest people when they are disoriented, preferably at night using massive force, but one never knows who one’s captor will be, when or where it will happen.

US Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has followed the situation closely since the beginning when DC activist Suzzanne Monk informed the US Rep, in 2021, about the terrible conditions the prisoners were in,  posted the most recent demand letter on her Twitter account:

The letter details the horrors that Bowser and others have willingly forced upon the Americans being held.

So the hearing and long overdue and the song is just in time.

Donald J Trump joined with imprisoned Jan. 6 defendants on Thursday night to release a charity single entitled “Justice for All,” designed to raise money for some of the defendants’ families and call attention to concerns about equal application of the law.

The officially released track debuted as a digital single and a vintage vinyl record on several streaming services.

Both Trump and a group of incarcerated demonstrators dubbed the J6 Prison Choir, contribute vocals to the track. The prisoners recorded their contributions through a jailhouse phone.

The tracks consist of the Jan. 6 prisoners singing the “Star Spangled Banner” while Trump recites the Pledge of Allegiance.

Record executive LJ Fino, who helped on the project, said he expected the release to be greeted with cheers and jeers.

“I am, of course, a huge supporter of The First Amendment and expect that many consumers will love it and many will hate it.”

The former president has previously said he may pardon some of the Jan. 6 defendants should he return to the White House and lamented their treatment at the hands of the Department of Justice.

“It’s a disgrace what they’ve done to them. What they’ve done to these people is disgraceful,” he said in September of last year. “I mean full pardons with an apology to many.”

Real America’s Voice TV network anchor Ed Henry and former Trump advisor Kash Patel also contributed to the project.

Patel, for his part, highlighted the Department of Justice’s handling of Jan. 6 prosecutions and expressed hope that the single would help raise awareness about their plight.

“As a former federal public defender, its shocking how the two-tier system of justice has hijacked constitutional due process and replaced it with, due process for only those we agree with politically,” he said.

”As a former national security prosecutor, it’s tragic this DOJ has abandoned the law and failed to disclose all evidence against so many of those overcharged and needlessly detained since Jan 6.”

“This DOJ has failed to act lawfully, so we will call them out and put our money on the line for the freedoms and due process of the J6 families. That’s what #J6PC is all about,” he continued. “Americans have been stripped of their rights, denied bail, and treated worse than terrorists. This is no longer justice, but gulag for political punishment.”

“If they have the voice to sing our national anthem every night from the D.C. gulag, then we must be a voice for them, our freedoms, and their families,” he asserted.
