In a video that was broadcast on Friday, President Donald Trump criticized the administration of former Vice President Joe Biden, warned of the “deadly terror” of nuclear weapons, and outlined his measures to defend the citizens of the United States.

In his video message to the American people on Truth Social, the 45th president criticized the Biden administration for making the world a “dangerous” place.

“Under Joe Biden, the world has become vastly more dangerous, and there is no greater danger than the deadly menace of nuclear weapons and hypersonic missiles,” Trump said.

Trump issued a warning that hypersonic missiles may travel “six times quicker” than other types of missiles and are capable of destroying cities and countries “within minutes.” He stated that the United States must not allow this to come to pass.

For many months, the 45th president has warned that Biden’s handling of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could quickly result in World War III due to the threat of nuclear weapons.

“If you take a look right now, the nuclear word is being mentioned all the time,” Trump said in his video message. “This is a word that you’re not allowed to use. It was never used during the Trump administration, but now other countries are using that word against us because they have no respect for our leadership.”

Trump has stated that Russia’s devastating invasion of Ukraine would “never have happened” under his administration. This week, he warned against the Biden administration sending 31 M1 Abram Tanks to Ukraine, suggesting that nuclear war could soon follow as a result. Trump also made it clear that he could quickly negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine and prevent the “tragic waste of human life.”

In his video message on Friday, Trump stated, “World War III would be a catastrophe unlike any other. This would make World War I and World War II like very small battles. The best way to ensure that such a conflict ever happens is to be prepared with unmatched technology and unrivaled strength.”

Highlighting his past success a “rebuilding” the “entire military,” Trump said that if he is elected president in 2024, he will work with Congress and America’s “great military leaders” to construct a “state of the art next generation missile defense shield.”

Similar to Israel’s Iron Dome, Trump said the United States needs to construct an “impenetrable dome” to protect its citizens.

“We have technology that’s unsurpassed, but our past leaders haven’t really wanted to use it,” Trump said. “I rebuilt our military at a level that nobody thought possible, but we have to now go that further step. We must be able to defend our homeland, our allies, and our military assets around the world from the threat of hypersonic missiles no matter where they are launched from. Our adversaries must understand that they, not the United States, will be totally destroyed if they ever dared to launch missiles against our homeland.”

Touting his administration’s creation of the Space Force, Trump said the new branch will serve a “vital role” in defending the United States against missiles and nuclear weapons.

Pledging to build a “shield” to protect Americans from the threat of missile attacks, Trump echoed President Ronald Reagan’s “peace through strength” philosophy throughout his video message.

“We will have a peace through strength, and that’s what we had and we had no wars during the Trump administration,” Trump said. “We had no wars, remember that, because we were strong. The other side knew it, and they didn’t want to play games, they didn’t want to mess around.”
