The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced Saturday that former President Donald Trump’s campaign fundraising event in Palm Beach, Florida, raised more than $50.5 million.
According to the RNC press release, Saturday’s fundraiser surpassed all prior fundraising event records for either Republicans or Democrats. The RNC noted that Trump’s $50.5 million fundraiser came just a week after President Joe Biden raised “just $25 million” while appearing in New York City alongside former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. The RNC also noted that both the Trump campaign and the RNC’s “small dollar” fundraising efforts are continuing to increase each month.
“Tonight will be an incredible night for President Trump and the Republican Party, raising an astounding $50.5 million,” Trump campaign senior advisors Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles said. “Meanwhile, after locking up the nomination in one of the fastest primaries in modern political history, Donald J. Trump is winning poll after poll and proving that the enthusiasm is on his side. It’s clearer than ever that we have the message, the operation, and the money to propel President Trump to victory on November 5.”

Saturday’s fundraiser came after the RNC and the Trump campaign announced on Wednesday that joint fundraising efforts brought in more than $65.6 million in March, leaving the Republican Party and the former president with approximately $93.1 million in cash on hand.
“The success of tonight’s event is proving what we already know: Americans are fed up with Biden’s record of failure, from the open southern border and sky-high inflation to the migrant crime crisis that has made everyone less safe,” RNC Chair Michael Whatley and Co-Chair Lara Trump said. “The Republican Party is united behind the effort to elect President Donald J. Trump, and Americans are lining up to join our movement and retire Crooked Joe Biden once and for all.”
While Saturday’s event raised far more money than Biden’s recent New York City fundraiser, the Democratic Party continues to have a cash advantage over the Republican Party. The Daily Caller reported that the Biden campaign and the Democratic National Convention (DNC) raised $90 million in March and had roughly $192 million in cash on hand.
The Palm Beach event’s historic fundraising numbers should help the former president and the RNC close some of the gap in funding between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. The former president celebrated the fundraising momentum behind his campaign following Saturday’s successful event.
“Biggest night in Fund Raising of ALL TIME!!!” Trump said in a statement on Truth Social. “Will double up the Biden number of last week at Radio City. People are desperate for change. They want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
