Trump unveiled an awesome new policy commitment on Tuesday, promising that if elected, he would sign an executive order on the first day of his second term in office that would ban birthright citizenship for undocumented immigrants and so-called “birth tourism.”
The policy plan was featured in one of Trump’s Agenda 47 videos his campaign distributed. He posted the video on his Truth Social account less than an hour ago.
The video features Trump saying, “As part of my plan to secure the border, on day one of my new term in office, I will sign an executive order making clear to federal agencies that under the correct interpretation of the law going forward, the future children of illegal aliens will not receive automatic U.S. citizenship,”
According to Trump, the fact that children of illegal aliens have the right to citizenship acts as a “magnet” and a “incentive” for future potential migrants to try to cross the border and come into the US illegally.
In the video Trump declares, “Joe Biden has launched an illegal foreign invasion of our country allowing a record number of illegal aliens to storm across our borders,” “From all over the world, they came. Under Biden’s current policies, even though these millions of illegal border crossers have entered the country unlawfully, all of their future children will become automatic U.S. citizens. Can you imagine? They’ll be eligible for welfare, taxpayer-funded healthcare, the right to vote, chain migration, and countless other government benefits, many of which will also profit the illegal alien parents. This policy is a reward for breaking the laws of the United States and is obviously a magnet helping draw the flood of illegals across our borders. They come by the millions and millions and millions.”
Trump continues, “It’s things like this that bring millions of people to our country.”
“They enter our country illegally. My policy will choke off a major incentive for continued illegal immigration, deter more migrants from coming, and encourage many of the aliens Joe Biden has unlawfully let into our country to go back to their home countries. They must go back. Nobody could afford this. Nobody could do this—and even morally it’s so wrong.
The United States, according to Trump, “is among the only countries in the world that says that even if neither parent is a citizen or even lawfully in the country their future children are automatic citizens the moment the parents trespass onto our soil.”
He contends that the argument for giving illegal alien offspring birthright citizenship is flawed because it misinterprets the law.
Trump goes on to state: “As has been laid out by many scholars, this policy is based on a historical myth and a willful misinterpretation of the law by the open borders advocates,”
Trump further asserts that the so-called “birth tourism,” in which foreigners strive to give birth in the United States so that their children will be born with American citizenship, will be eradicated by the executive order he promised. According to Trump, his EO would mandate that at least one parent must be a citizen of the United States or be legally present in the nation.
Trump in conclusion declared that “My order will also end the unfair practice known as ‘birth tourism’ where hundreds of thousands of people from all over the planet squat in hotels for their last few weeks of pregnancy to illegitimately and illegally obtain U.S. citizenship for the child, often to later exploit chain migration to jump the line and get green cards for themselves and their family members. It’s a practice that’s so horrible and so egregious, but we let it go forward. At least one parent will have to be a citizen or a legal resident in order to qualify.”

Late in April, Trump released a new ad outlining a much more positive future for the United States compared to what the socialist left have given us under Biden.
The first part of the advertisement lists all of Biden’s shortcomings during his more than two years in office, including his open border policy, rising crime, incapacitating inflation, and humiliation abroad.
“It’s an invasion of America. Streets flooded with poison killing millions,” the ad begins with a focus on the fentanyl crisis.
“Enemies and tyrants on opposite sides of the world laugh at us,” the narrator explained with images of the Taliban and China shown. “Wars threaten us. The threat of nuclear annihilation once forgotten is now real again. America’s weakness has become their strength.”
“The global elitists who send your kids to war. Who tell you a woman is a man and a man is a woman,” it continued. “Who teach your children their country, their faith, their beliefs are a lie. They have corrupted every facet of American government, weaponized against you.”
“While they watch our cities burn and violent crime skyrocket, you and your families pay the price,” the ad emphasized by pointing out the crime wave that surged over the country since the summer of 2020. “Out of control inflation, a wrecked economy.”
“A nation in decline,” the commercial declared. “This is Joe Biden’s America. Failing. Weak.”
Then the ad changed to a message of hope for Americans anticipating a second term under Trump, one in which the interests of the American people come first.
“But one man, one movement can change all that for us,” the narrator said. “Put America, the middle class first and put the globalists, the elitist, and the corrupt in their place. Bring back pride and the American dream to let the world know: don’t mess with us.”
