At one point Paul Ryan was the darling savior of the Republican Party, but Trump opened the eyes of many people hat that wasn’t the case. Ryan could not get on board the Trump Train and he tried many times to derail it. His failure to see the direction of his own party lead to his demise as speaker of The House of Representatives. Ultimately he quit the political businesses – saying he wanted to go back to family life before his kids got too old.
For some reason Ryan now believes that the time is right to resurrect his political career. But President Trump would like to remind us who Paul Ryan really is.
Former President Donald Trump released a statement Friday morning targeting “RINO” Paul Ryan, the former “lame duck” Speaker of the House, for his “monumental” loss in 2012 and being “a weak and ineffective leader.”
The “RINO,” Trump said, had “lost all vote-getting capability with the people he represented in Wisconsin, and was the single biggest factor, other than Romney himself.”
He added this was the case for the “monumental Romney/Ryan loss in the Presidential race of 2012,” citing when the former president ran in 2020, he “got more votes by far,” adding it was 75 million, “than any sitting president in history!”
Trump continued to say the former speaker is “now speaking to other Republicans telling them how to win elections,” even though he lost.
“Interestingly, I was in the Great State of Wisconsin when they booed him off the podium—I literally had to come to his rescue,” he continued.
The former president observed, “Ryan should instead be telling them how to stop the cheating of elections and that we would have won if Republican leadership fought the way the Democrats did.”
Trumpthen then took aim at Fox News, saying “Fox will never be the same” since Ryan joined its board. Unfortunately, he said, “Fox totally lost its way and became a much different place, with millions of its greatest supporters fleeing for good.”
“Paul Ryan has been a curse to the Republican Party,” the former president said, before offering he has “no clue as to what needs to be done for our Country.”
“Ryan,” Trump said, “was a weak and ineffective leader” in addition to not being in office since 2019, he “spends all of his time fighting Republicans” instead of the “Democrats who are destroying our Country.”
If you are a Republican, Trump said, having “Ryan on your side almost guarantees a loss,” adding it will be a “guarantees a loss, for both you, the Party, and America itself!”
