Trump blasts Biden after US troops killed

Former President Donald Trump blasted President Joe Biden Sunday after U.S. Central Command announced that three U.S. troops were killed and at least 34 were injured by a drone attack launched by Iran-backed terrorists in Jordan.

“The drone attack on a U.S. Military Installation in Jordan, killing 3 American Servicemembers, and wounding many more, marks a horrible day for America,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

The former president expressed his “most profound sympathies” to the family members of the U.S. troops that were killed in Sunday’s attack. He also encouraged the American people to join him in praying for the dozens of troops who were injured in the attack.

Blaming the current administration, Trump added, “This brazen attack on the United States is yet another horrific and tragic consequence of Joe Biden’s weakness and surrender.”

In another post on Truth Social, the former president contrasted his administration with the current Biden administration. Trump claimed that before Biden was elected, Iran was “weak, broke, and totally under control” due to his “Maximum Pressure” policies.

“The Iranian Regime could barely scrape two dollars together to fund their terrorist proxies,” Trump said. “Then Joe Biden came in and gave Iran billions of dollars, which the Regime has used to spread bloodshed and carnage throughout the Middle East.”

Taking a shot at his top political rival in the 2024 election, Trump claimed that Sunday’s attack against U.S. forces in the Middle East “would NEVER have happened” if he was still president. Blaming Biden for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel, Trump warned that the United States is “on the brink of World War 3” due to Biden’s leadership.

“This terrible day is yet more proof that we need an immediate return to PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH, so that there will be no more chaos, no more destruction, and no more loss of precious American lives,” Trump stated. “Our Country cannot survive with Joe Biden as Commander in Chief.”

Trump’s posts on Truth Social followed Central Command’s press release that announced the death of three U.S. service members and dozens of injuries due to an unmanned attack drone on a U.S. base located in Jordan near the Syrian border.

After the initial release, Central Command released an update, stating, “The number of U.S. personnel with injuries has increased to at least 34 service members, but we expect this number to fluctuate as service members continue to seek follow-on care.”

Central Command noted that eight service members were evacuated from Jordan due to injuries requiring a “higher level of care.” However, Central Command added that the eight evacuated service members were in stable condition.
