Mich. state senators vote to extend minimum wage, cut paid sick leave

Michigan workers will likely have to wait a little longer to see a boost in their pay checks after state senators voted to postpone a minimum wage hike.

The Republican controlled state Senate approved two bills on Wednesday in a 26-to-12 vote.

The first bill would postpone a minimum wage increase, which was set to reach $12 an hour by 2022. The measure would extended the increase until 2030.
