China is buying U.S. soybeans again

China is beginning to buy soybeans from the U.S. again amid the ongoing 90-day truce on trade.

According to the U.S. Soybean Export Council Wednesday, Chinese companies have already ordered about two million tons of American soybeans.

President Trump cancels meeting with President Putin over conflict with Russia, Ukraine

President Trump has decided to cancel his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which was expected to happen at the G20 summit in Argentina.

In a series of tweets, the president said based on the fact the ships and sailors have not been returned to Ukraine from Russia, he decided it would be best for everyone to cancel the meeting with Putin.

China pushing to hold trade talks with U.S. at G20 summit in Argentina

Beijing recently announced it’s in talks with U.S. officials about a possible meeting in Argentina.

At a press conference Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Minister Lu Kang said the country’s president plans to meet President Trump at the G20 summit in Buenos Aires next month.

The proposed talks will focus on striking a deal to resolve trade tensions between the two nations.
