President Donald Trump blasted Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., on Twitter Monday, accusing the Senate Minority Leader of hypocrisy on the Iran nuclear deal.
Schumer voted against the deal when it was first negotiated by former President Barack Obama’s administration in 2015, one of only four Democratic senators to do so. But more recently he’s expressed support for allowing the deal to continue, saying it should be given more “time to work,” By Theodore Bunker | Newsmax at InfoArmed
according to the New York Post.
“I had a great deal of misgivings about the Iran nuclear deal. I voted against it but now we ought to see, give it time to work,” the Senate minority leader told reporters on Sunday. “The worst things Iran is doing now are not within the nuclear deal, but outside of it.”
Dem Senator Schumer hated the Iran deal made by President Obama, but now that I am involved, he is OK with it. Tell that to Israel, Chuck!

Schumer explained that he opposed the deal two years ago “because I believe Iran will not change, and under this agreement it will be able to achieve its dual goals of eliminating sanctions while ultimately retaining its nuclear and non-nuclear power.”
He added that it’s “better to keep U.S. sanctions in place, strengthen them, enforce secondary sanctions on other nations, and pursue the hard-trodden path of diplomacy once more, difficult as it may be. For all of these reasons, I believe the vote to disapprove is the right one.”
Webmaster Comment: Trump is absolutely right to call out Schumer on his reversal of not supporting the Iran deal. Of course it’s about politics. Schumer is a political animal and he will oppose Trump on every issue unless something can be positioned as having more benefit to the Democrat party or advancing his own twisted agenda.
