A Different F.B.I. For Investigating Trump Campaign Says Devin Nunes

On Tuesday, Nunes said the briefing given to Senator Dianne Feinstein about a possible Chinese spy among her staff is standard procedure at the agency. House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes is accusing the Obama-era FBI of “drastically diverging” from protocol, while investigating alleged Russian collusion in the Trump campaign.

However, this same courtesy was not extended to the Trump campaign when a similar concern was raised over some members’ potential Russian ties.

The agency instead hired informants and used surveillance warrants to get more information about Trump figures.

The FBI has declined to comment on the discrepancies.
