Raid On Mar-A-Lago Unquestionably A Political Hit

Nobody is yet aware of the contents of the Department of Justice search warrant that the FBI carried out yesterday at the Mar-a-Lago property in Palm Beach, Florida, owned by 76-year-old former President Donald Trump. But it is now undeniably clear that the witch hunt that prompted former FBI Director James Comey to launch a counterintelligence inquiry into Trump and his 2016 campaign is still ongoing. Comey, who was fired by Trump on May 9, 2017, is well-versed in political witch hunts. He predicated his decision to look into Trump on the Steele dossier, also known as the sponsored opposition research of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. After Christopher Steele admitted in court that he had destroyed all the supporting sources, the entire Steele dossier was completely discredited. But Comey and former FBI Director Robert Mueller continued to look into Trump despite that.

With knowledge that the Justice Department and FBI colluded to undermine Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and his presidency, special counsel John Durham (R-Conn.) continues to look into the beginnings of Comey’s FBI probe of the president. Mueller’s March 23, 2019 conclusion that there was no evidence linking Trump to the Kremlin during the 2016 campaign took him over two years to reach. Democrats and their allies at the New York Times and Washington Post, as well as 24-hour cable news networks and network news, published numerous stories on Trump’s supposed ties to Moscow that were completely made up or used anonymous sources to support their claims. On a stack of bibles, Democrats in Congress under the leadership of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) swore they had evidence that Trump was a Russian asset who used the Kremlin to win the 2016 presidential election.

There is no question that former President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden played a significant role in approving the DOJ, FBI, CIA, and National Security Agency [NSA] to support the false narrative that Trump was a Russian agent to assist Hillary win the 2016 election. Thus, questions have been raised about the recent DOJ and FBI Mar-a-Lago raid. Hugh Hewitt, a well-known Trump critic, was informed by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) that no one is above the law. We live in a country of laws. Nobody is exempt from the law. That’s very certain,” Graham assured Hewitt. Graham, though, said that he had “suspicions” about the FBI raid and DOJ search order. Graham remarked, “The Russian thing was a lot of trash. The events on January 6 were witnessed by all of us. With Biden in office, things will be interesting. But the Department of Justice must tread carefully in this area.

Graham questions whether there are still issues at the Justice Department given what the DOJ and FBI did against Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign and into his administration. The Russia hoax is still being supported by publications like the New York Times and Washington Post as well as broadcasters like CNN and MSNBC, who have never acknowledged that their reporting on Trump was politically slanted. Former Hillary Campaign general counsel Mark Elias dispelled any doubts about the political motivation of the Mar-a-Lago raid. Elias revealed the intensely political nature of the Mar-a-Lago raid by saying, “The really, really important reason… why the raid today is a possibly blockbuster in politics.” Elias should know because he played a key role in getting Hillary the Steele dossier so she could use it as part of a deceptive campaign strategy in 2016. Elias tweeted with such excitement about the DOJ and FBI Mar-a-Lago raid.

Elias is unsure whether Trump was found guilty of a crime under Section 2071 of the United States Code, disqualifying him from seeking the presidency. Yes, I was aware of the legal difficulty applying this rule to a president would present (because the Constitution establishes certain requirements),” Elias tweeted. But, according to Elias, “the notion that a politician would have to litigate this is during a campaign is a blockbuster in American politics.” What else would indicate the purpose of the FBI raid and DOJ search warrant if not that? Graham believes that the Russian scandal was “a lot of rubbish,” but Elias, the mastermind of the fake, believes that Trump’s potential presidential campaign could be thwarted by the DOJ and FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Josh Hawley (R-Mo. ), and others made the investigation a campaign pledge if they win the Senate in November.

Whatever the DOJ search warrants’ contents, they won’t differ all that much from the warrants Comey secured to wiretap members of the Trump campaign, tricking the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act [FISA] Court into issuing warrants based on false probable cause. Garland will undoubtedly have his own justification for the warrant, but the main goal of the raid on Mar-a-Lago is to prevent Trump from running for president in 2024. Trump claimed yesterday that the FBI search was an effort by Democrats to prevent him from running for president in 2024, a claim that will undoubtedly be discounted by Democrats and their media allies. Democrats appear to be pursuing a secondary plan to prosecute Trump for breaching Section 2071 of the United States Code, regardless of whether they can charge him with a crime related to the Capitol rioting on January 6th. Both allegations—that Trump illegally took White House records or that he orchestrated the rioting on January 6—seem unconvincing.
