President Trump, First Lady to visit Pittsburg after synagogue shooting

The White House has formally condemned anti-Semitism and hate in the aftermath of the Pittsburgh synagogue massacre.

During Monday’s briefing, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said America grieves for the victims who died in the temple over the weekend and stated anti-Semitism is a plague on humanity.

She then announced the president and the First Lady will visit Pittsburgh on Tuesday, and show support for the mourning Jewish community.

Sanders was asked about whether the president will tone down his rhetoric in light of last week’s violent incidents and she responded by saying the president plans to stay on message leading up to the midterms.

The press secretary was also asked about whether President Trump shares blame for the series of violent attacks and threats due to his rhetoric.

Sanders fired back by saying the very first thing the president did after the Tree of Life shooting was condemn hate, bigotry and the shooter. Meanwhile, the first thing the press did was blame the president.
