On “Fox & Friends” on the Fox News Channel on Monday, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) stated that FBI Director Christopher Wray needed to take “much more” action to address political bias within the agency because it was alleged that former FBI agent Timothy Thibault interfered with an investigation into Hunter Biden.
According to Grassley, “We wouldn’t even be aware of it if it weren’t for whistleblowers, extremely patriotic Justice Department employees who came to me and gave me this information about Thibault. Based on very vague press reporting, he launches an investigation into Trump before closing one against Hunter. He was at least moved out of that position by Wray. He is no longer even working in the division. However, I believe Wray needs to take additional steps to develop a strategy that demonstrates how this political bias within the FBI will be combated and eliminated.
“If there isn’t corruption, they handle that by being completely transparent, whether it’s in relation to the most recent raid in Florida, whether it’s in relation to how they treated Hillary Clinton differently than Trump, or whether it’s in relation to what they’re doing with Thibault,” he continued.
“That’s why complete transparency is vital,” Grassley continued. Public business must be disclosed.
