Kanye West Invited To Meet With President Trump, Jared Kushner at White House

President Trump is set to meet with one of his biggest A-list celebrity fans — rapper Kanye West. That’s according to the New York Times, who reported the news Monday.

The sit-down is set to take place Thursday at the White House alongside senior adviser Jared Kushner.

West has been a vocal supporter of President Trump since his 2016 campaign. He has sparked national attention by wearing a MAGA hat and praising the president during public appearances.

“Everyone around me tried to pick my candidate for me, and then told me every time I said I like Trump, I couldn’t say it out loud or my career would be over…I’d get kicked out of the black community. It took me a year and a half to have the confidence to stand up and put on the hat, no matter what the consequences were.” — Kanye West

Thursday’s meeting is expected to focus on reforming the justice system and creating more jobs for convicts after they are released from custody.
