As Jill Biden walked into an ice cream shop in New Haven, Connecticut, with Democratic Connecticut governor Ned Lamont and US Department of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona on Wednesday, she received an unexpected surprise from a group of individuals waiting for her outside, Fox News reported.

Jill has been the target of a great deal of anger in recent weeks over the high gas prices that many have attributed to her husband Joe Biden.

Although gas prices are more complex than that, many are pointing to the president’s hostile policies toward energy production in the United States as a reason for the rise in prices.

“Your husband is the worst President we ever had, you owe us gas money,” a man shouted as she walked past him.

In typical, seemingly clueless, Jill Biden fashion, the first lady smiled and waved as she responded, “Thank you! Thank you for your support, thank you!” acting as if she had just been complemented.

Another heckler doubled down on the original insult by letting Jill know “You suck!”

“You owe us gas money! You owe us gas money! You owe us gas money!” The first heckler continued. Jill was swarmed by Secret Service, one of whom walked between the camera and the heckler as he yelled, according to the Daily Caller’s report on the incident.

There’s no other way to perceive these remarks other than the absolute opposite of adoration and support for this administration.

Biden was in Connecticut with Education Secretary Miguel Cardona and Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont as part of a national summer learning tour highlighting learning loss suffered by children as a result of coronavirus lockdowns.

“Discovered today that @FLOTUS and I share two common loves: teaching kids and ice cream,” Lamont tweeted along with pictures from the visit to the shop.

Arethusa Farms posted on Instagram that the company was “extremely honored and humbled” by Biden’s visit.

Biden’s visit came the day before the White House revealed that her husband, President Joe Biden, tested positive for the coronavirus after returning from a trip to the Middle East.

It comes on the heels of President Biden testing positive for COVID, but the first lady tested negative and spoke to reporters about it.

“I talked to him just a few minutes ago. He’s doing fine, he’s feeling good,” Jill Biden told reporters of her husband’s current condition.

“This morning, President Biden tested positive for COVID-19,” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced after his test results were made public. “He is fully vaccinated and twice boosted and experiencing very mild symptoms. He has begun taking Paxlovid. Consistent with CDC guidelines, he will isolate at the White House and will continue to carry out all of his duties fully during that time. He has been in contact with members of the White House staff by phone this morning, and will participate in his planned meetings at the White House this morning via phone and Zoom from the residence,” Jean-Pierre further explained.

“Consistent with White House protocol for positive COVID cases, which goes above and beyond CDC guidance, he will continue to work in isolation until he tests negative,” she said. “Once he tests negative, he will return to in-person work.”

“Out of an abundance of transparency, the White House will provide a daily update on the President’s status as he continues to carry out the full duties of the office while in isolation,” she said.

The statement added that all close contacts of the president, including members of Congress and members of the press who interacted with Biden during his travel Wednesday, will be informed of the positivity of the case by the White House Medical Unit on Thursday, which is in accordance with standard White House Covid protocol.

In what seemed to be another health announcement, the president actually made a gaffe during his statement on Wednesday that went viral after Joe Biden told the country he has cancer.

During a speech in Somerset, Massachusetts, Biden spoke of enacting more climate protection measures and creating energy jobs based on his childhood experience and oil pollution he witnessed growing up in Delaware.

“Five years ago, this towering power plant that once stood with cooling towers 500 feet high closed down,” Biden said. “The coal plant at Brayton Point was the largest of its kind in New England. 1,500 megawatts of power, enough to power one in five Massachusetts homes and businesses.”

“I just lived up the road in an apartment complex when we moved to Delaware, and just up the road a little school I went to, Holy Rosary grade school, and because it was a four-lane highway that was accessible, my mother drove us and rather than us be able to walk,” Biden said. “And guess what? The first frost, you know what was happening, you’d have to put on your windshield wipers to get literally the oil slick off the window.”

White House officials clarified that he was referring to skin cancer removals made before he was president, stating he “mistakenly stated (present tense) that he has cancer.”
