Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is warning those who are trying to “erase Trump” are “going to wind up getting erased.”
During an appearance on Fox News, Graham told Sean Hannity, “The most popular Republican in America, it’s not Lindsey Graham, is not Liz Cheney, it’s Donald Trump. People on our side of the aisle believe that Trump policies worked. They’re disappointed that he lost.”
He continued during Monday’s interview, “To try to erase Donald Trump from the Republican Party is insane. And the people who try to erase him are going to wind up getting erased.”
Claiming it is “impossible” for the Republican Party to move forward without Trump, Graham told Hannity, “The people who are conservatives have chosen him as their leader. And you know why they chose him? Because he delivered.”

Graham called Trump the “most consequential president for national security since Ronald Reagan.”
“He secured the border, he cut our taxes, he bought our new attitude of being an American and the people have chosen him, not the pundits,” Graham continued.
The senator has repeatedly expressed his praise for the former president.
In March, Graham told Fox News he “actually ” likes Trump, adding, “He has been very nice to me.”
“He’s allowed me to be in his world. He allows me to give my two cents worth about different issues when he was president,” Graham said.
Graham also told Axios’ Jonathan Swan in March there is a “dark side” to Trump but, at the same time, “magic there” that he is trying to “harness.”
He has disagreed with Trump regarding his position on President Joe Biden’s withdrawal of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
“I could not disagree more with former President Trump regarding his support for President Biden’s withdrawal of all forces from Afghanistan against sound military advice,” Graham tweeted in April.
He added, “With all due respect to former President Trump, there is nothing ‘wonderful’ or ‘positive’ about allowing safe havens and sanctuary for terrorists to reemerge in Afghanistan or see Afghanistan be drawn back into another civil war.”
