The FBI raided former President Trump’s Florida mansion at Mar-A-Lago on Monday. An investigation into whether Trump took classified records from the White House to his led to the search of the estate.
Trump said the feds had broken into a safe at his home to search for documents that the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) want.
A total of 15 boxes of classified information were seized by the agents, but the agents did not elaborate on what they contained.
According to a new, shocking account of the Monday operation at Mar-a-Lago, Eric Trump revealed that FBI agents refused to hand over the search warrant for the property raid.
In an interview with Daily Mail, the former president’s son said the 30 agents who arrived at the property requested that the cameras be turned off – but the staff refused.
Additionally, the attorney was forced to wait at the edge of the driveway when the search took place inside. They broke into the safe with safe crackers, he said.
Asserting that there is no possible way President Joe Biden was kept in the dark about the search, Eric Trump branded the raid another coordinated attack against his father.
Currently, the Department of Justice faces mounting pressure to explain the grounds for the search following the latest explosive account.
He said that Christina Bobb, the lawyer for his father, was forced to stand at the end of Mar-a-Lago’s driveway during the raid.
‘There’s 30 agents there,’ he recalled on Monday during a call with the Mail. ‘They told our lawyer… you have to leave the property right now. Turn off all security cameras.’
‘They would not give her the search warrant,’ he said. ‘So they showed it to her from about 10 feet away. They would not give her a copy of the search warrant.’
In his statement, Bobb was confused about why the lawyer for the person whose house was raided by the FBI could not view or obtain a copy of the search warrant.
“Eric said he would be ‘thrilled’ to find out if there was a valid search warrant,” according to the Mail.
The FBI declined to comment to DailyMail.com on the raid and Eric’s claim no search warrant was handed over to Trump’s legal team.
‘It’s all a coordinated attack with the FBI,’ the former president’s son added, insisting the raid was approved by President Biden.
‘Do you think that the FBI director is going to raid the former president’s house, especially a house as you know, kind of world renowned as Mar Lago is in a place as public as Mar Lago is without getting the approval of President [Biden]?’ Eric questioned.
Since the security cameras weren’t turned off, Eric says he has proof the FBI raided areas of the property where they ‘shouldn’t have been.’
In a statement Wednesday, Trump said the FBI prevented his lawyers from entering his Palm Beach, Florida residence during the raid and suggested evidence was planted by agents.
‘The FBI and others from the Federal Government would not let anyone, including my lawyers, be anywhere near the areas that were rummaged and otherwise looked at during the raid on Mar-a-Lago,’ Trump said in a post to his Truth Social page early Wednesday morning.
‘Everyone was asked to leave the premises, they wanted to be left alone, without any witnesses to see what they were doing, taking or, hopefully not, ‘planting,” according to him, implying that the raid had not been conducted appropriately.
Trump asked: ‘Why did they STRONGLY insist on having nobody watching them, everybody out? Obama and Clinton were never ‘raided,’ despite big disputes!’
“By law, all presidential correspondence and documentation must be handed over to the National Archives, and since February it has been clear that Trump did not comply. Some documents were returned to the National Archives at the beginning of this year, but apparently not all,” the Mail reported.
FBI agents were inside the 128-room Florida estate for nine hours on Monday, with 30 agents roaming through the entire 3,000-square-foot private quarters.
The investigators searched the master bedroom, known as the Versailles Room, which Melania Trump renovated two years ago.
Real America’s Voice on Tuesday quoted Trump’s lawyer Christina Bobb as saying the raid was a ‘weird flex’ and maybe something was planted by the FBI.
‘No, there is no security that something wasn’t planted,’ Bobb said. ‘I’m not saying that’s what they did.’
‘This was a completely unnecessary power flex. It was a weird flex,’ Bobb continued. ‘It’s quite honestly sad to see what they have done to our country.’
The temperature reached 91 degrees in Palm Beach on Monday, but Trump’s lawyers were barred from entering the air-conditioned facility during the raid even though the weather was hot and humid.
Former President Trump posted on Truth Social that ‘Biden knew all about this, just like he knew all about Hunter’s “deals.””
Trump continued: ‘A horrible thing that took place yesterday at Mar-a-Lago. We are no better than a third world country, a banana republic.’
‘It is a continuation of Russia, Russia, Russia, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax # 2, the no collusion Mueller Report, and more.’
‘To make matters worse it is all, in my opinion, a coordinated attack with Radical Left Democrat state & local D.A.’s & A.G.’s.’
Republicans are enraged as this has never happened to a former president before, Democrats are gleeful, though and Hillary Clinton is cashing in on the situation by selling “but her emails” hats.
