Donald Trump may be back on social media soon and he may be using a platform that resembles Twitter.

A screenshot of Trump’s alleged first post on the former president’s upcoming social media platform, Truth Social, was tweeted out by his son, Trump Jr.

‘Time for some Truth!!!’ Read Donald Jr.’s tweet, which included a photo of his father’s alleged Truth Social post that exclaimed: ‘Get ready! Your favorite president will see you soon.’

Several social media users have echoed the claims of Donald Jr. that Truth Social’s beta version was launched for some users, including the former president.
‘TRUTH Social (beta) has dropped and President Trump is active on his own account!’ RSBN’s VP of operations Liz Willis tweeted, ‘The world is healing.’

According to the Apple App Store listing, Trump plans to launch Truth Social on February 21 – Presidents’ Day. From the looks of it, it will be a near replica of Twitter.

Trump has talked about taking on Big Tech ever since he was banned from Twitter and Facebook following the Jan. 6 violence in the Capital.

He announced at the end of last year that he was launching the Trump Media Technology Group. TMTG+ will feature entertainment, news, podcasts, and a new social media platform.

Trump reportedly joined Truth Social on February 10, according to screenshots of the account.

He had 175 followers as of midday Tuesday. As the platform is still not accessible to everyone, it is unclear if his following has grown since then.

It appears the platform is very similar to Twitter, a platform Trump was a frequent user of before his suspension.

DailyDot reported that there had been a previous test version of the social media site online as recently as December, less than two months after a handful of journalists had access to the mobile beta version.

Users with early access to the platform were presented with a login page.

‘Welcome to the TRUTH Social Beta Release,’ the welcome screen read. ‘We’re so excited to have you here and we really appreciate your patience while we’re actively making the TRUTH more accessible to everyone.’

After its URL was shared online, the beta site was taken down. Those visiting the website will now be redirected to truthsocial.com, where they can also join the waitlist.

A stock price rise of 20 percent from the opening of TMTG’s app store listing resulted in a valuation of $5.3 billion last month based on Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC), the company used to reach the public market with the Trump venture.

Currently, the company’s value is unclear.

Bloomberg reported that TMTG is a private company with little public information available about its operations, finances, executives, or executives’ compensation.

TMTG announced in October the company had merged with DWAC, which had contributed $293 million for stock in exchange for cash to TMTG.

When the merger news broke, DWAC’s market capitalization jumped to nearly $1.5 billion.

TMTG’s chairman, Donald Trump, originally announced the creation of Truth Social last November, saying his platform would rival the current ‘liberal media consortium’ and compete with Silicon Valley firms that have used unilateral power to silence opposition voices.

‘I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech. We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced.’

‘This is unacceptable. I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!’

As part of its social media efforts, TMTG will launch a video-on-demand service, TMTG+, that will include ‘non-woke’ entertainment programming, news, and podcasts in addition to social media content.

Executive producer Scott St. John of Deal or No Deal and America’s Got Talent has been named TMTG+ Corporate Operations Manager and will oversee the service.

Trump created Truth Social as he was banned from Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram after the riot at the Capitol Building. While Twitter has permanently banned Trump, Facebook and Instagram will consider re-enabling him at a later time.

Trump used Twitter to announce policy changes, fire aides, and debate critics. He considered it a vital way to communicate with the 88 million followers he had, many of whom supported him.

The former president had previously rebuked the companies, accusing them of infringement of his right to freedom of speech and being run by ‘Radical Left Lunatics.’

After his social media presence was impeded, Trump had been left to communicate with his supporters via his website, From the Desk of Donald J. Trump, which was launched this past May.
