This is actually an old story that the press is obviously exploiting and exaggerating to deflect attention from President Trump’s focus on border security and the government shutdown. Nevertheless it illustrates how the conspiracy to discredit Trump was hatched even before he actually took office.

President Trump blasts the New York Times following their recent report that the FBI investigated if he was working on behalf of Russia.
In a phone interview Saturday night, the President was asked if he ever worked for Russia after the Times reported the FBI started the probe following the firing of James Comey.

Democratic leaders are the ones who will lose politically if they continue to stand in the way of better border security, predicts an attorney and resident fellow at an immigration watchdog.
The partial government shutdown is entering week four over the weekend, and it’s coming after President Trump sat down again this week with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer at the White House.
That shutdown meeting ended quickly when Trump asked Pelosi if she would support funding for a border wall and she said, “No.”

The caravan’s organizers plan to leave for the U.S. sometime next week, and they are using social media as a way to spread the word.
Mexico is already sending hundreds of additional law enforcement agents to its southern border, in anticipation of the caravan.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump said Thursday that he’s canceling his trip later this month to a global forum in Switzerland because of the partial government shutdown, now in its 20th day.
The president was scheduled to leave Jan. 21 to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, an annual event that attracts high-profile business and political figures, plus thinkers, artists and other elites. He blamed the cancellation on Democrats in Congress, saying they are not willing to negotiate a resolution to the shutdown, which is hung up on Trump’ demand for money to build a wall on the southern border.
