California Congressman Dana Rohrabacher is facing-off against an opponent, who presents a very different image of himself on camera than he does off camera.
Earlier this month, Rohrabacher was preparing for a debate with his challenger Harley Rouda, a Democrat and political newcomer, when things got heated.
In the moments before the debate was set to be recorded for the PBS show Inside OC, Harley and his team exploded at the host. They criticized him for allowing Rohrabacher to use notes.
The tense moments were caught on hot mic’s and a rolling camera.
Rouda’s campaign called is Rick Reef “a hack.” Reef is a long-time broadcaster, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, and three-time Emmy nominee.
Rohrabacher’s team said Harley just wasn’t prepared for the debate and refused to produce the email they claimed to have proving no notes were allowed.
