Brawl Breaks Out On Fox News With Former Trump Official

Laura Fink, the Democratic strategist, was ripped to shreds by Mercedes Schlapp, a former Trump official, over Hunter Biden’s laptop.

During an episode of Faulkner Focus,” Harris Faulkner questioned Fink on if Joe Biden had “been compromised by anything that his son would have done?”

“Look, there is absolutely no connection between Hunter Biden’s businesses and nothing has ever been unearthed to suggest that as in your reporting, Harris, suggests as well,” Fink responded.

“There is not a connection,” Fink added. “What Americans see in Hunter Biden especially women can relate to. This was a well-connected wealthy guy that had access and got paid millions for doing a bad job at what he was paid to do.”

Then Faulkner asked Fink whether she thought “this is a gender thing?”

“No, I think all Americans can relate to it. When you are well connected, but especially women because we see it a lot. Americans can relate to that but as to what it has to do with the Biden presidency I would say very little. I think this headache is really more of a right-wing conservative journalism hangover,” Fink replied.

Then Schlapp jumped right in and let Fink have it.

“Oh please, please. No, no, Harris, I have to respond. I was on the presidential campaign with President Trump and when we brought up the questions about Hunter Biden and the laptops and the emails that the New York Post had leaked exclusively the Washington Post refused to verify for months and then they told us on the campaign we couldn’t bring up Hunter Biden because they were like ‘it could be part of a Russian misinformation campaign’. That’s a disservice to the American people when the mainstream media are not-”

Fink returned: “Did you give them the drive, did you give them the laptop?”

“They refused to question and cover the news and they refused to let us speak about this issue on air,” Schlapp retorted.

“I am sorry what was your question?” Schlapp inquired as Fink once more asked if she handed over “[The Washington Post] the drive.”

“Oh, please. Are you serious? Are you seriously asking me that question? Give me a break,” Schlapp hit back, then saying, “liberal media refused to cover this because as you know their goal was they always hated Donald Trump, they weren’t going to give Donald Trump a fair shake, and they wanted Joe Biden in the White House.”

In the event that the Republicans, as expected, win back the majority in the House in the 2022 midterm elections, intelligence experts, the media, and big tech will have to explain why they spiked the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election.

In response to the quashed story, Darrell Issa, a Republican congressman from California, said he would send letters for evidence preservation in preparation for subpoenas and an investigation.

If Republicans regain control of the House, the representative will serve as chairman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, and he would be responsible for handling the investigation if it were to occur.

“What I can’t live with,” Issa said, “is the fact that when the New York Post, one of the oldest print newspapers in the country, founded in 1801, comes out with credible evidence, which they can show how they got it, what their sources were — there were no hidden sources on this – they not only got shut down by … Facebook and Twitter but they got shut down by the New York Times, by public broadcasting, by virtually everyone.

“And they were shut down by having more than 50 of the most informed people in the intelligence world all saying that they knew that this was false information. That is a conspiracy of monumental size.”

“That is where we’re asking to have the evidence preserved,” he continued. “And when we receive the ability to subpoena again … on the anticipation that the House will return to the [GOP] majority, this is an investigation that has to be done, because shutting down the First Amendment is now a pattern of new media. But it’s also becoming a pattern of old media. And there aren’t very many older than the New York Times.”

As of now, media outlets, including The New York Times, have admitted that the laptop is genuine, but it has been a long time since the election.

There is even a reference to a debate between former President Donald Trump and Joe Biden in a letter signed by former intelligence officials.

Last week, Representative Matt Gaetz pressed the FBI’s assistant director to explain where Hunter Biden’s laptop is and whether or not it may leave the U.S. in a vulnerable position.

“So where is it? The laptop,” Gaetz inquired of Bryan Vorndran.

“Sir, I’m not here to talk about the laptop, I’m here to talk about the FBI Cyber Program.”

“You’re the assistant director of FBI Cyber, I want to know where Hunter Biden’s laptop is. Where is it?” Gaetz demanded.

“I don’t know that answer,” Vorndran answered.

“That is astonishing to me. Has FBI cyber assessed whether or not Hunter Biden’s laptop could be a point of vulnerability, allowing America’s enemies to hurt our country?” Gaetz questioned.

Afterward, Gaetz pointed out that Hunter Biden’s password could be easily hacked and asked whether or not the FBI knew where the laptop was. Vorndran said that Gaetz’s statement was accurate in the sense that the FBI does not know where the computer is.

According to Vorndran, that wasn’t within his sphere of responsibility. Due to Hunter Biden’s business dealings, Gaetz asked if there was concern over how the first family might be compromised.
