Biden Using DOJ to Launch Criminal Investigation Into Trump

In its investigation into the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, the FBI found little evidence that the attack on the Capital was the result of a coordinated plot to overturn the election results.

According to sources who have either been directly involved in or regularly briefed on the wide-ranging investigations, the FBI believes that almost 1000 alleged participants were not coordinated centrally by far-right groups or prominent Trump supporters.

“Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases,” said one former senior law enforcement official familiar with the investigation. “Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages.”

Despite this, Biden is using the Department of Justice to go after former President Trump with the hope he will be criminally charged for… whatever.

Former President Donald Trump is being investigated by the DOJ for “efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.”

The Washington Post reported this, citing four people who are allegedly familiar with the situation.

It has been alleged that Trump was involved in an alleged scheme to replace electors as a result of conversations he had. Prosecutors are questioning witnesses in front of a grand jury about these conversations.

“The prosecutors have asked hours of detailed questions about meetings Trump led … his pressure campaign on Pence to overturn the election; and what instructions Trump gave his lawyers and advisers about fake electors and sending electors back to the states,” the report alleges.

According to the Post, investigators also obtained the phone records of key Trump staffers, including former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

As previously reported, the Justice Department has been actively investigating allies of Trump, but this latest report indicates that the former President himself is being investigated.

It comes as Merrick Garland, the Attorney General, has expressed a willingness to prosecute Trump for his alleged role in the January 6th riot at the Capitol, according to the latest report. This despite Trump calling for a peaceful protest and the FBI finding there was no conspiracy.

In an interview Tuesday, Lester Holt of NBC News asked if indicting a former president would “arguably tear the country apart.”

Garland responded, “Look, we pursue justice without fear or favor.”

“We intend to hold everyone, anyone who was criminally responsible for the events surrounding Jan. 6, for any attempt to interfere with the lawful transfer of power from one administration to another, accountable,” he further noted. “That’s what we do.”

The Washington Post reported that the Justice Department may investigate two criminal matters involving Trump: “Seditious conspiracy and conspiracy to obstruct a government proceeding” and “potential fraud.”

A central claim of fraud would be “the false-electors scheme” by which the former President pressured officials to “falsely claim that the election was rigged.”

“President Biden had previously expressed interest in avoiding investigations of his predecessor but has since taken an angry tact when discussing the Capitol riot,” writes Political Insider.

Biden, prior to that riot but just after defeating Trump in the 2020 election, reportedly told advisers he “just wants to move on.”

But January 6th appears to have been a bridge too far.

The President, in a speech to the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives conference on Monday, appeared visibly angry regarding the riot.

“And for three hours, the defeated former president of the United States watched it all happen as he sat in the comfort of the private dining room next to the Oval Office,” Biden asserted.

“While he was doing that, brave law enforcement officers were subject to the medieval hell for three hours — dripping in blood, surrounded by carnage, face to face with a crazed mob that believed in the lies of the defeated president,” he added.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is being pressed by Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes to explain why Capitol Police failed to take extra security measures leading up to and on the day of the violence.

In an interview with Newsmax’s “Spicer & Co.,” Nunes, a former Republican Representative, discussed the issue with Kash Patel, who worked for Nunes when he was the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Patel went on to become a top official in Trump’s administration.

“There was intelligence ahead of time that the Capitol Police should have known – which clearly Kash over at the White House, they knew, which is why President Trump authorized National Guard troops,” Nunes declared.

“You know there are tens of thousands of people coming, and you do nothing? And this is the question Nancy Pelosi is going to have to answer because the payback is going to be a ‘you-know-what’ if Republicans are successful this November,” he continued.

A total of 840 suspects have been charged as a result of the riot on January 6. The U.S. has never charged a former president with a crime. The globalist left’s hatred of Trump and MAGA may cause that to change.
