Congressional leaders will return to the White House Friday for talks to resolve the ongoing government shutdown.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley told reporters the proposed meeting would take place a little before noon on Friday.

A previous meeting on Wednesday did little to end the deadlock over President Trump’s demand for $5 billion in border wall funding.

Democrats left that meeting indicating there was no breakthrough that might lead to a reopening of the government.
