President Trump is reiterating his firm stance, on securing the U.S.-Mexico border.
On Twitter Saturday, the president said the crisis at the southern border is real, and won’t stop until a steel barrier or wall is built.

The president followed up by saying he won an election based, in part, by campaigning on strong borders and keeping the country safe.
He then said U.S. forces “fight for the borders of other countries, but we won’t fight for our own.”
His remarks come as lawmakers have yet to agree on border security funding, including a wall, which has lead to the partial government shutdown.
I won an election, said to be one of the greatest of all time, based on getting out of endless & costly foreign wars & also based on Strong Borders which will keep our Country safe. We fight for the borders of other countries, but we won’t fight for the borders of our own!
