President Trump has proclaimed November 2018 to be National Veterans and Military Families Month.
In a statement Wednesday, the White House said this month will be dedicated to saluting the brave men and women who have served as well as their families who sacrificed so much.
The president emphasized the work his administration has done for the nation’s heroes. This includes the VA Mission Act signed this year, which revolutionizes the way veterans access crucial health care services.
The president quoted former President Ronald Reagan who said, “America’s debt to those who would fight for her defense doesn’t end the day the uniform comes off.”
He went on to assure he is fully committed to giving veterans and their families the resources and support they need.
President Trump also urged Americans to take the time to thank veterans and their families for their role in defending our freedoms.
