President Trump is denying allegations he referred to the media as the enemy of the people.

In a tweet this Monday, the president accused CNN and other news outlets of inaccurately reporting comments he made.

He said he called the “fake news media” the enemy of the people, not the media adding there is a very big difference and spreading false information is never good.

In a follow up tweet, the president said the American people are angry and disillusioned at receiving so much fake news, adding “they get it and fully understand.”

Press Secretary Sanders fired back at the media during a briefing Monday, saying the first thing the press did after the shooting was blame the president.
