During Thursday’s hearing some of the accuser’s statements appeared to contradict her earlier allegations.
Ford claimed it was never clear the committee agreed to send an outside counsel to her California home for testimony despite Chairman Chuck Grassley’s offer to do so.
She also could not recall the day she submitted to a polygraph test and was uncertain as to how the test was paid for.
Her request to delay the hearing due to a fear of flying was also called into question after Ford admitted she has taken flights to destinations such as Hawaii and Costa Rica as well as to Thursday’s hearing.
