Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is facing what seems to be a defamation attack similar to last year’s accusations against Alabama Judge Roy Moore.
President Trump has rejected the idea of withdrawing the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh, and said his confirmation could come with a delay to allow time to investigate the allegations of sexual misconduct against him.
“Oh I think he’s on track., I think he’s very much on track — if they delay a little bit just to make sure everybody’s happy,” said the president.

This newest controversy has drawn parallels to what some called a “character assassination” campaign against Alabama Judge Roy Moore in last year’s special election.
The majority of Republican lawmakers and party officials failed to support Judge Moore in his effort to contest the outcome of that race.
The lack of GOP support for Judge Moore encouraged the Democrats to continue their defamation tactics against other allies of President Trump.
“No longer this is about Republican or Democrat control — it’s truly been said there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between them,” stated Moore.
The Democrats are now seeking to delay Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation until after the midterms in which they hope to flip the House and derail President Trump’s reshuffle of the Supreme Court.
In this light, the Republicans have no choice but to mobilize all their resources and secure a decisive win this coming November.
