In a bizarre, anonymous Op-ed article recently published by the New York Times, the writer claims to be a senior Trump staffer and secretly part of ‘the resistance’. After painting a picture of Trump as an erratic, stupid and petulant man, the writer goes on to say that he and others are working hard to steer Trump in the right direction. Further, the writer explains that the country is doing great, not because of the President, but in spite of him. Not to worry America, it is fake Republicans and entrenched bureaucrats that are actually making the country great again, not President Trump.
Democrats, fake Republicans and the media have done their best to destroy the presidency of Donald J. Trump. Despite their efforts it hasn’t worked. His base has held – loyal to his policies and appreciative of what he has done for them. But, with the midterm elections just around the corner, and the Trump’s popularity increasing in a roaring economy, Democrats are desperate for a campaign strategy.
Perhaps they are slowly awakening to the reality that Trump is giving the people of America what they want. That is, lower taxes, more jobs, border security, international respect, fair trade agreements, fewer government regulations, cutting government waste – the list goes on. Democrats can’t hardly run against those things. But they’ve been telling us for two years that Trump was too stupid to actually accomplish the things that he promised. What to do?
The answer for the Democrats may be to come up with a scheme to claim Trump’s accomplishments for themselves. Or at least for the bureaucratic state (which is largely made up of Democrats). The unveiling of that scheme may be the anonymous op-ed in the New York Times.
In the end, the anonymous op-ed is simply another attempt to discredit Donald Trump. The Democrats and the media will use it as validation for their venomous, relentless attacks on the President. They can now ‘prove’ that he is indeed the amoral, stupid fool that they’ve been saying he is. And the only reason that he hasn’t destroyed the country is that a cabal of true patriots is protecting us from the insanity of Donald Trump. But the American people won’t be buying it.
And the reason that they don’t buy it is that those ‘insider’ republicans and bureaucrats have been in Washington for decades. They have done little to improve America and instead have spent their time improving their own positions and checkbooks. The only thing that has changed the direction of the country is the addition of Donald Trump. Were it not for Trump, America would be still be on a steady downward slope. And the media knows that – even as they try to steal Trump’s thunderous accomplishments.
