Pic: Terrorist arrests spike 655% amid Trump deportations: Report

A new report claims that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials have arrested over 200 terrorists or suspected terrorists under President Donald Trump’s administration’s deportation efforts.

According to The New York Post, ICE officials have arrested 219 confirmed terrorists and suspected terrorists since the 47th president’s inauguration in January. According to Department of Homeland Security data obtained by the outlet, the Trump administration’s arrests mark a 655% increase from the same period in 2024, when only 29 terrorist and suspected terrorist arrests were executed under former President Joe Biden.

The New York Post reported that one of the terrorists recently arrested by ICE officials has been identified as Harpreet Singh, an Indian national who illegally entered the United States on January 27, 2022, after crossing from Mexico into Arizona. The outlet noted that a DHS official said Border Patrol agents released Singh into the United States and issued him a court date under the Biden-Harris administration.

In a statement obtained by The New York Post, Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said the Biden-Harris administration allowed Singh to move throughout the United States for over three years.

“The Biden administration not only let a wanted terrorist into our country, but after he was arrested by Border Patrol agents, they released him into the interior of our country,” McLaughlin said. “While shocking, it’s not surprising given the Biden administration routinely released unvetted terrorists and criminals into American communities.”

According to Fox News, Singh was one of India’s “most wanted men” due to his alleged role in terrorist activities, including the planning of over a dozen grenade attacks against police officials.

A statement released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Sacramento Field Office explained that Singh was “wanted in connection with multiple terror attacks across Punjab, India” and was “suspected to have collaborated with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Khalistani terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).”

Pointing to the Trump administration’s deportation efforts regarding terrorists and other “violent criminals,” McLaughlin said, “Under President Trump and Secretary Noem’s leadership, ICE is unleashed to remove these violent criminals from America’s streets and put an end to catch and release.”

Sharing a picture of Singh’s recent arrest, FBI Director Kash Patel warned, “The FBI will continue finding those who perpetrate violence — no matter where they are.”
