Melania Has Become Trump’s ‘Secret Weapon’ Amidst Indictment

Melania Trump is establishing herself as the embattled former president Trump’s anchor and “secret weapon,” according to his inner circle, as he faces his most recent legal struggle.

A source close to Trump told Page Six: “Melania is being credited by his friends with keeping President Trump ‘calm and focused’ amid the hellish week of his being indicted for the third time.”

“Friends whisper these last few weeks have been hard on Trump, and although he always presents a tough front, these constant legal assaults are affecting his day-to-day life,” the insider continued.

Trump must reply to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s demand for a protective order in relation to Smith’s indictment of him for purported criminal attempts to undo the election for the presidency in 2020.

He is also involved in separate court proceedings in Florida and New York.

The source went on: “Melania’s even better than his regular golf games at keeping his temper in check. She provides a peaceful life for him when he needs it.”

“The couple and their son [Barron] have breakfast and dinner together regularly at their residence at his Bedminster golf club. [Melania] literally turns the news off at times so they can watch something else together, and she frowns over telephone or social media use at the table. Melania keeps him on track as a father and has in many ways stepped up to fill the place Ivanka [Trump] and Jared [Kushner] once had . . . She is his most intimate and internal sounding board.”

Sources claimed she was fully behind his campaign. “She backs his bid for a second term completely, and listens to him when he needs someone he can trust . . . she is obsessively private, she never gossips with even her closest friends, so Trump knows when they talk about important things it’s just between them.

“She listens and isn’t afraid to give her honest opinions and advice,” according to the confidant.

“The couple has worked out a schedule and routine that works for them. She is his secret weapon to staying grounded.”

In March, the New York Post reported, “Trump’s daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner broke their silence Friday on their relative’s criminal indictment a day earlier, with Kushner claiming it demonstrated the “political strength” of the 45th president.”

Ivanka, 41, posted a perfunctory statement on her Instagram Story that read: “I love my father and I love my country. Today, I am pained for both.

“I appreciate the voices across the political spectrum expressing support and concern,” the former first daughter added.

Meanwhile, Kushner called the indictment secured by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg “very unprecedented” and “very troubling” during an appearance at the Future Investment Initiative Institute’s priority summit in Miami Beach, Fla.

“I think that it shows, obviously, the fear that the Democrats have of Trump and the political strength that he has,” said Kushner, 42, who added that the grand jury process has been “hard to watch.”

“Just as a family member, obviously, Ivanka and I love him very much,” Kushner said of the 76-year-old former president, who was indicted by a Manhattan panel on 34 charges related to a hush-money payment allegedly made to porn star Stormy Daniels just before the 2016 presidential election.

“The opponents of him politically continue to break every norm over the last years to try to get him,” Kushner said Friday. “We saw them accuse him of colluding with Russia, we saw them impeach him, we saw them raid his home — and this is just a continuation of that.”

However, Kushner added, his father-in-law’s “resolve to take on big challenges to fight for change, to fight for the American people has only gotten stronger.”.

In June we reported “Trump was asked during a recent, much-discussed interview with Fox News host Bret Baier how his wife, former first lady Melania Trump was handling his legal issues after being indicted twice now. Trump insisted that she was with him “100%”.”

Though, where is Melania? In the last several weeks, Trump has been fighting the Democrats’ persecution, while she’s nowhere in sight. The former president is even campaigning for a second term in the White House, something Melania Trump should be very vocal about.

“She is a woman of great dignity and beauty and style,” Trump told Baier, in footage that aired on the night of Tuesday, June 20th. “She is a very popular first lady, although a lot of people might not know that one way or another.”

He explained that supporters are often holding up signs at several rallies illustrating their love for the former first lady.

“The people love Melania. She’s a very confident person. She feels I’m being very badly mistreated,” Trump said. “And she says, ‘You go ahead and you do whatever you want to do because I’m with you 100%.’”

“So Melania and Barron — fully in?” Baier asked.

“They’re great. They’re great,” he replied.

Melania was present in the past when Trump announced his third presidential bid, and she even went as far as to issue a statement back in May 2023. The Trump campaign shared the statement this week with the Daily Mail, trying to voice her support in the matter with Trump.

“He has my support, and we look forward to restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength,” Mrs. Trump said in the release.
