UFC Star Praises Trump, DeSantis, Leads Crowd In “Let’s Go Brandon” Chant

Former President Donald Trump is continuing the fierce fight against all attacks from the left, as he traveled to New York last week to participate in being charged with 34 counts of business fraud by the Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.

The trumped-up charges, which all seem to be redundant, are obviously meant to keep the former president down and out when it comes to the 2024 presidential election.

But Trump is taking the attack in stride, continuing to fight and post on social media regularly.

Polls are showing that the charges, which were put to rest years ago, will only bring a backlash of support from voters.

Trump posted an Easter message to the country:

“HAPPY EASTER TO ALL, INCLUDING THOSE THAT DREAM ENDLESSLY OF DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY BECAUSE THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF DREAMING ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE., THOSE THAT ARE SO INCOMPETENT THEY DON’T REALIZE THAT HAVING A BORDER AND POWERFUL WALL IS A GOOD THING, & HAVING VOTER I.D., ALL PAPER BALLOTS, & SAME DAY VOTING WILL QUICKLY END MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD, & TO ALL OF THOSE WEAK AND PATHETIC RINOS, RADICAL LEFT DEMOCRATS, SOCIALISTS, MARXISTS, & COMMUNISTS WHO ARE KILLING OUR NATION, REMEMBER, WE WILL BE BACK!”

The former President enjoyed his Easter holiday with family in Florida and made an appearance at the Ultimate Fighting Championship, held in Miami over the weekend.

Trump entered the arena with Kid Rock, Mike Tyson, and Dana White, the president of UFC, and they all sat in the front row together.

The crowd broke into a chant of USA! USA! USA! clapping loudly, and Trump acknowledged the fans by standing up and waving to the enthusiastic crowd.

Trump was attending the main event of fighting champions, Israel Adesanya verses Alex Pereira as well as the fight between Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns.

Masvidal is a vocal Trump supporter and was obviously thrilled with Trump’s presence.

As Fox News reports:

UFC star Jorge Masvidal led the crowd in a “Let’s go, Brandon” chant and praised former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at UFC 287 on Saturday. The 20-year UFC star lost his welterweight fight against Gilbert Burns and announced his retirement in a post-game interview with Joe Rogan. During his speech, Masvidal gave shoutouts to Trump, who was in the audience, as well as DeSantis.

“I wanted to say, greatest president in the history of the world sitting right there,” Masvidal said, pointing to Trump. “I love that guy.”

Masvidal then turned his praise toward DeSantis before leading a chant criticizing President Biden. “We also got the greatest governor of all time here in Florida. Let’s keep Florida free, a red state,” he said. “And let’s take back – you know who, Let’s go, Brandon motherf***er… replace him.” Masvidal has also shown support for the 45th president in the past.

Masvidal is known for fighting fierce. He has been accused of giving one of his former opponents a brain injury in an attack in Miami.

The UFC star was ordered to stay at least 25 feet away from fellow UFC star Colby Covington following the attack, which allegedly saw Masvidal attacking Covington with a deadly weapon – his hands or fists – causing Covington to suffer great bodily harm, specifically a “brain injury,” according to court documents obtained by ESPN.

As one fighter in the sports arena acknowledged his fellow fighter in the political arena, there is nationwide speculation as to what the result will be of the attack of DA Bragg on Trump.

As Trump refers to the charges in Manhattan as “massive election interference at a scale never before seen in our country” and points out, “The only crime that I’ve committed is to fearlessly defend our nation from those who seek to destroy it.”

Time Magazine states that the “dwindling numbers of Trump critics” like Sen. Mitt Romney, have trashed the case by Bragg. “I believe the New York prosecutor has stretched to reach felony criminal charges in order to fit a political agenda,” Romney said.

Time continues that polling shows that post-indictment Trump is experiencing a boost with voters. A Yahoo! News-YouGov poll found a surge in support for Trump, with 57% of respondents saying they would vote for Trump over DeSantis. The same poll had Trump trailing DeSantis in February.

Another poll released on April 3 by Reuters/Ipsos also found that Trump had widened his lead since the indictment, with 48% of Republicans saying they want Trump as their nominee, up from 44% earlier in March. Support for DeSantis dropped to 19% in the wake of the charges, down from 30% in March, Time reports.

Even CNN polls report that most Republicans don’t believe what Trump did was illegal – and a significant number don’t even believe it was wrong. Looking back on elections of the past, it is obvious that many candidates, both Republican and Democrat, have settled out of court with such accusers to put accusations that always seem to come up at election time to rest.
