Former top Trump adviser, Kellyanne Conway, who the former president attributed his 2016 presidential win to, in large part, appeared on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” on Thursday. Never one to mince words, Conway stunned host Bill Hemmer with a sudden truth bomb he didn’t seem prepared for and it all happened live in real time.
In her relatively new roll as a Fox News contributor, Conway discussed President Joe Biden’s low approval ratings on critical issues like the economy. She also addressed the fact that a slim majority of Democratic primary voters polled expressed an interest in seeing someone other than current president Joe Biden as the party’s candidate in the 2024 election.
“More Republicans want Joe Biden to run in 2024 than do Democrats. And I think that’s because Republicans are wise to the fact that we’re watching a crumbling presidency, a crumbling economy right before our eyes,” she told Hemmer.
“So, Biden’s doing a little bit better on foreign policy anyway. He’s doing a little bit better overall. But his approval rating on the key issues that voters say are going to motivate them to the polls are really, very poor,” the former Trump campaign manager and top political adviser continued.
“On the economy, his approval rating is 35 percent. On border security, his approval rating is 36 percent. And among independents, that key and growing group all across this country, his approval rating in the Fox News poll is 35 percent,” she added.
“He’s got a net negative 30 percent approval rating, 65 percent disapproval, 35 percent approval among self-identified independents, which, of course, will decide who the next president is,” she further explained.
Despite Democrat, Soros-back DA Manhattan’s alleged attempt to take Trump out of the race by indicting him on the weakest possible charges, this attempt seems to have backfired. Much to the chagrin of Bragg and Trump Democrat detractors, the former president and 2024 presidential hopeful got some good news this week in the wake of this political persecution.
In the most recent national poll conducted by Fox News, Trump has widened his lead over other Republican contenders, while Democratic primary voters are uncertain about Joe Biden’s candidacy.
According to the survey released on Wednesday, Republican primary voters were presented with a list of 15 declared and potential candidates for the 2024 nomination. The results show that since February, Trump has doubled his lead and is now ahead of Ron DeSantis by 30 points (54%-24%). In comparison, the former President was only 15 points ahead of DeSantis last month (43%-28%).
“No one else hits double digits. Mike Pence comes in third with 6%, Liz Cheney and Nikki Haley receive 3% each, and Greg Abbott comes in at 2%. All others receive 1% support or less, and just 3% are unsure,” Fox News reported.
Almost every major demographic supported Trump, except white college-educated men, where DeSantis led by 12 points. Within the subset of voters who supported Trump in the 2020 general election, 60% continue to support him in the Republican primary. Meanwhile, 25% back DeSantis, and just 5% support Pence.
Fox News’ poll results also saw that if voters were to choose a second choice, Trump primary voters would choose DeSantis, and DeSantis primary voters would choose Trump.
“The rumor that Trump is going to be indicted by the district attorney in Manhattan has helped him quite a bit among Republican primary voters,” Republican pollster Daron Shaw, who conducts Fox News surveys with Democrat Chris Anderson, told the network. “They view the case as politically motivated, and it reanimates feelings that Trump is still fighting forces they see as corrupt and out of control.”
In response to the grand jury’s dismissal earlier this week, Trump posted on his Truth Social platform.
“I have gained such respect for this grand jury, & perhaps even the grand jury system as a whole,” he said on Wednesday before the indictment was handed down.
“The evidence is so overwhelming in my favor, & so ridiculously bad for the highly partisan & hateful district attorney, that the grand jury is saying, hold on, we are not a rubber stamp, which most grand juries are branded as being, we are not going to vote against a preponderance of evidence or against large numbers of legal scholars all saying there is no case here. drop this sick witch hunt, now!” Trump added.
