Founder and CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, has spoken out on Twitter’s censorship of reporting regarding materials found on a laptop abandoned by Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.
He made the remarks in the wake of previous reports that Twitter’s board of directors unanimously approved his buyout offer,
“Fresh off convincing Twitter to sell him the company for $44 billion, the billionaire tech mogul commented on a post about a Politico report on Twitter’s top lawyer, whose team decides how to moderate content, crying while trying to reassure staff amid the takeover,” reported the Washington Examiner.
Musk, as one would expect, tweeted: “Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate.”

Musk was responding to a reporter who described Twitter attorney Vijaya Gadde as the “top censorship advocate at Twitter who famously gaslit the world on Joe Rogan’s podcast and censored the Hunter Biden laptop story.”
The comment was in reference to a 2019 Joe Rogan Experience interview with Gadde, fellow podcaster Tim Poole, and Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, the lawyer claimed the platform does not unfairly target users or restrict content based on political viewpoints.
Further, the Examiner stated:
Details about Biden’s business dealings and personal life have emerged in the media thanks to copies of a laptop and hard drive. The FBI took possession of the actual hardware after the owner, believed to be Biden, left it for repairs at a shop in Delaware in April 2019 and never returned. Copies were made and spread across the media landscape, and the New York Post led the charge in reporting on the contents of the laptop that is believed to have belonged to the president’s son.
While other major media outlets sought to cast doubt on its authenticity, Big Tech companies even took steps to suppress its spread in the final weeks of the 2020 election.
When the New York Post attempted to post the articles on its Twitter account, the social media company claimed it violated its rule against sharing “hacked” materials. In fact, Twitter and Facebook limited users from sharing it for a time. Twitter locked the New York Post out of its account Oct. 14, 2020, in a standoff that lasted roughly two weeks.
The mainstream media and big tech platforms mostly cited a letter signed by 51 national security and intelligence officials claiming that the laptop contained information similar to Russian disinformation. In the letter, the officials also admitted they had not seen such evidence.
Meanwhile, other media outlets have verified The Post’s earlier report – that the laptop’s contents are authentic – while also adding more details about potential shady business dealings involving then-Vice President Joe Biden.
In a report on Tuesday, the UK’s Daily Mail reported Joe Biden claimed about $16.5 million in income from 2017 through 2019, according to his presidential campaign’s tax returns.
This is $7 million more income than he reported on the transparency reports, and what’s more, the report states, that at least $5 million of it is unaccounted for.
Reports indicated that the majority of the income came from speaking and writing engagements, but filings with the Office of Government Ethics for the same period showed the couple made just $9.6 million.
Now as all of this is happening, the sale of Twitter to Musk, and his criticizing the platform’s censorship of the Hunter laptop news, Biden started a new ‘Disinformation Board’ to monitor social media. Coincidence? Hardly.

The new government-sponsored- watchdog over the people- is an eight-month-pregnant Russia expert who called has already protected the American people from the Hunter Biden laptop.
The civil servant called the laptop a ‘Trump campaign product’.
She also is not fond of the idea of free speech on the internet as she claimed that she ‘shudders to think’ about Elon Musk taking over Twitter.
Musk has stated numerous times that he wants to restore Twitter’s free speech roots. Founder and former CEO of the platform Jack Dorsey has also expressed his confidence in Musk.
“I love Twitter. Twitter is the closest thing we have to a global consciousness,” he said on Twitter this week.
“The idea and service is all that matters to me, and I will do whatever it takes to protect both. Twitter as a company has always been my sole issue and my biggest regret. It has been owned by Wall Street and the ad model. Taking it back from Wall Street is the correct first step.”
“In principle, I don’t believe anyone should own or run Twitter. It wants to be a public good at a protocol level, not a company. Solving for the problem of it being a company however, Elon is the singular solution I trust. I trust his mission to extend the light of consciousness,” Dorsey continued.
“Elon’s goal of creating a platform that is ‘maximally trusted and broadly inclusive’ is the right one. This is also @paraga’s goal, and why I chose him. Thank you both for getting the company out of an impossible situation. This is the right path…I believe it with all my heart,” he concluded.
